Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how dkirkmanart.com uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies help the website run, remember basket and checkout activity, keep consent records, measure performance and support advertising or product tagging where consent has been given.
Managing your consent
The website uses CookieYes to show a cookie banner, store consent choices and send Google Consent Mode signals. Non-essential analytics and advertising tags should remain denied until the relevant consent category is accepted. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings control below or the CookieYes revisit button on the site.

Cookie categories
| Category | Examples | What they are used for | Consent signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | cookieyes-consent, cky-consent, cky-action, wordpress_test_cookie, wp_woocommerce_session_*, woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | Store cookie choices, keep the site secure, remember basket contents and allow checkout to work. | necessary_storage / necessary cookies are always active because the store cannot work properly without them. |
| Functional | Preference cookies or local browser storage used by site features. The room-preview and Colour Club popup use browser-side storage rather than uploading files to the server. | Remember optional preferences, reduce repeated popups and improve non-essential site features. | functionality_storage is denied until functional consent is accepted. |
| Analytics | When Google Analytics is connected: _ga, _ga_*, _gid. Other analytics cookies may appear if a different analytics tool is added later. | Understand which pages, products and journeys are being used so the site can be improved. | analytics_storage is denied by default and granted only after analytics consent. |
| Advertising and social | When Meta/Facebook/Instagram or Google Ads are connected: _fbp, _fbc, Google Ads conversion cookies and related third-party identifiers. | Measure ads, support product tagging/shop activity, understand campaign performance and avoid repeatedly showing irrelevant ads. | ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are denied by default and granted only after advertising consent. |
| Payment and fraud prevention | Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Google Pay or Apple Pay may set cookies such as Stripe fraud-prevention cookies or PayPal/Klarna checkout cookies during payment. | Process payment securely, prevent fraud, provide payment options and complete checkout. | Usually necessary for checkout/payment security. Some provider marketing or analytics cookies may require consent depending on how the provider loads them. |
| Email/newsletter | Mailchimp may set cookies or tracking when a visitor clicks through to the hosted newsletter signup page. | Process newsletter signup, measure signup activity and manage email subscription preferences. | Handled by Mailchimp on its hosted signup page and by the site consent banner where any embedded tracking is added later. |
Google Consent Mode
Google Consent Mode is enabled through CookieYes. The default state is set to deny analytics, advertising, ad user data, ad personalisation and functional storage until the visitor accepts the relevant category. If Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel are added, they must be added through the consent-controlled setup so they respect these choices.
Current tracking setup
The site currently uses WooCommerce, payment providers, CookieYes consent controls, Google review display, newsletter links and optional social/shop integrations. Analytics and advertising tools should be connected only through CookieYes/Consent Mode so measurement does not start until consent is given.
