Out of the blue, we received a call from the management team at Bluewater Shopping Centre offering us an empty unit. It?s all systems go! Our task is to transform a high-end department store into a stunning fine art gallery. The lighting and wall space are perfect for showcasing artwork, making it an ideal venue for an exhibition.
The next step involves curating and hanging over 30 artists? works. As part of the team, I have access to the service areas, allowing us to efficiently bring in the artwork. I then assist in arranging and hanging the pieces, ensuring the exhibition looks professional and visually captivating. This process usually takes about two days to complete. In previous events, we?ve worked with over 80 artists?an exhilarating and rewarding challenge!
Once the gallery is ready, I will help run it throughout the 10-week exhibition. I love being involved in this exhibition it allows me to meet and speak with art lovers and artists, its a lot of work but worth it!
