This was going to be a busy one. The reality of being an artist is that a relatively small amount of time is actually spent creating work. This is especially true when you are at an early career stage.
Today started with an early morning drop-off at school so I could get on the road and deliver some new pieces to The Circle Gallery in Ascot. These paintings were going to be part of a private viewing for a couple of the gallery’s collectors, to help them choose their favourite piece from the three they selected online.
Next stop, back to Essex to update my website ? the boring bit! When you drop off new paintings at an exhibition or gallery, you need to update the information on the website so people know who is representing each painting.
Lastly, I had an interview with my gallery in Gibraltar. In this case, it wasn’t all lights, camera, action, as it was a piece for their magazine. I had to answer a series of questions so their collectors could get to know me and my work better. Having completed a fair few of these interviews already, it’s always nice when you get interesting questions. The interview will be out in the November issue of Art and Culture Magazine. If you want to give it a read, Issue 2 showcased Mr Brainwash, so it is very cool to have a feature in Issue 3.
Then, back to the role of Dad, and it’s pick-up time. A busy but interesting day… I wonder what next month holds.
