I walked in to David's exhibition with my husband at the Leigh Art Trail, and the moment we saw this piece, we couldn't stop coming back to it. Of all the paintings in the room, this one called to us. The colour, the movement, the feeling, it was as if it was painted just for us. We both saw weeping willows over a river, instantly taking us back to when we first met in Cambridge and walked those beautiful river paths ourselves. I have followed David since seeing his work and speaking with him at a local art fair a year or so ago. I enjoyed a lot of his collection but nothing was quite right at the time. We saw it in a gallery in Folkestone when on holiday, we immediately fell in love with it but the gallery had already sold it. We searched the web and found David, who was happy to ship it to us.
